Venus Retrograde Shopping Tips

On Sunday, December 19th 2021, Venus goes retrograde in the sign of Capricorn. The Rx period ends on January 29th 2022.

NOW IS THE TIME to wrap up your holiday shopping, schedule hair appointments* and block all the numbers of heartbreaker-ex’s.

*If you are thinking about getting anything radical done like the trendy PNW or LES mullet, try to make your appointment for tomorrow or Saturday. OR JUST WAIT IT OUT UNTIL February. Venus Retrograde is NOT the time to experiment with new styles.

Nor do I advise painting your walls that interesting shade of blue or buying 10 Kylie Lipkits without sampling the colors first. Do take advantage of the travel/stocking stuffer sizes often for sale at this time of year.

I know, I know, those last minute and after-holiday sales between Dec 26th and January 1st are irresistible! My advice is to inquire about price adjustment policies at your favorite shops and order pieces now (if you can still score the sale price later). Or, get clear on what you want now and be ready to shop later.

During the retrograde….

•You may want to tackle closet-clearing. What improvements do you want to make in your wardrobe? Which pieces need repairing, mending and washing?

•This is great time to refresh your image. Do you need an updated headshot? (Not a full re-brand.)

•Revise your investment strategy. Which investments in your wardrobe + image-making, art and business brought solid returns? Where/how are you ready to make new investments in 2022?

With Venus (the planet that influences how we love and what we love and value) in Capricorn (the sign interested in long-term strategy, domination, security and legacy) relationships with success, image, power, confidence and partners will be highlighted during this transit.

What are your terms and definitions of the above? What are you willing to wait out? and no longer struggle for?

Venus in Cap also asks, “Which is of more importance: the marriage certificate or being in the will?” If your partner doesn’t have their paperwork together, now might be the time those insurance policies see some revision too. ;)

Now, we can’t talk about Venus in Cap without talking about TASTE. This planetary placement wants only the BEST of THE BEST. And since we’re in the season of shop-till-you-drop, I thought it was time to share the accounts of some amazing jewelry makers my Venus in Cap has been eyeing over the years.
