Neptune in Aries: Going the Distance
This is a multi-part series on Neptune’s ingress into the sign of Aries.
Part I: Going the Distance. A brief summary of how Neptune + Saturn may manifest at their meeting point of 0* in Aries on February 20th 2026.
When Neptune and Saturn both ingressed into Aries last summer, my long-dormant motivation to start running long-distance was awakened. I hadn’t run a marathon since 2011, shortly after Neptune moved into Pisces (my 5th), yet during all of Neptune’s transit through this part of my chart I vowed I would build up the strength (and desire) to run an ultra.
It never happened. There was a lot of saying going on, not much doing. Running even a 10k felt like a slog. Hiking was not much better. I cried a lot when I hiked. Long distance movement was far from pleasurable.
But the tides tuned when Neptune waded into Aries (my 6th House of health) last spring, followed by the disciplinarian that is Saturn. From the end of May until August 31st (Saturn transited Aries 5.24-9.01) I ran, biked, lifted, repeat without mental and physical struggle. 10 miles on dirt roads through vast farm land? (No bulls, but cows.) No problem. Bust out a long run on steep, rocky terrain with tomato-face bursts of hella tough climbs? Yes please!
Training was so easy, and on 9.31 I ran my first half-marathon. Neptune and Saturn as buddies encouraged me to go do the thing and have fun doing it.
After the transit? I was back to resting. No exercise for me whatsoever. (An exact Neptune square in my natal chart wasn’t helping the campaign.)
But now? As Neptune and Saturn prepare to meet again in Aries? I feel lighter. Motivated. The desire to Go The Distance - and finally get the Ultra completed - is back again. I have no doubt it’ll get done.

This experience has me thinking about the partnership between Saturn and Neptune —and how they co-create. With the presence of Mars aiding in taking first steps and maintaining drive, what can all three manifest together in the chart?

NEPTUNIAN VISIONS CAN BE MADE REAL WITH the DISCIPLINED approach of Saturn: WORK THAT IS PART OF A ROUTINE, CONSISTENCY, PRACTICE. THE BOTTLE RIDES THE CURRENTS DAILY. IT NEVER GIVES UP FINDING ITS WAY TO SOLID GROUND.
SATURN ALSO BRINGS FORTH RESTRUCTURING. AND DISMANTLING. WORKING BACKWARD TO WORK FORWARD.
IN THIS CONJUNCTION, NEPTUNE PROVIDES THE BIGGER PICTURE WHILE SATURN SHOW HOW TO GET THERE.
AN ARIES MARS THROWS THE BOTTLE INTO THE WATER, HELPING NEPTUNE AND SATURN MAKE THEIR FIRST MOVE.
SATURN GIVES STRUCTURE AND STRATEGY TO NEPTUNIAN DREAMS
NEPTUNE EASES RIGIDITY IN THE PROCESS OF MASTERY (SATURN)
