Dressing for the Gemini Moon
The New Moon in Gemini opens the door for us to revise and refresh our communication systems, daily routines, messaging, and marketing.
Despite Mercury (Gemini’s planetary ruler) in retrograde until June 3rd 2022, this New Moon feels light (thank the stars above) — Moon in Gemini energy naturally is (unless you see the moody side.)
Gemini Moons are curious, social, and buzzing with info on the latest and greatest about its work, passions and pursuits. Sometimes, there is so much going on in that Mercury mind that commitment to a decision can be challenging.
Despite being repped by the Twins, the sign of Gemini needs independent space to breathe, explore and think. It also needs room in the wardrobe for the many collections acquired!
The Gemini fashion lover needs to express and it will do so through stacks of rings, drawers of earrings, and/or rows of shoes. Variety is the key to a Gemini heart so you might just see a wardrobe packed with vibrant garments in glitter, sequins and polka-dots. Give this sign the rainbow. Give this sign all the choices.
Bell sleeves, platforms and Bohemian layers also contribute to a fun, airy, unfussy style. (Note: Gemini can be flirty in both boho florals and the Goth aesthetic thanks to the duality of the sign.)
I have often observed soft palettes of lemon, chocolate milk, shades of lavender, and pistachio paired with the electricity of neons within the visual branding of my Gemini clients. Again, it’s not “either/or”… it’s “let’s go for both!”
Some of my favorite Gemini style examples: Charlotte Olympia, Helena Bonham Carter, Janelle Monáe (Gemini Moon and Mc) and Naomi Campbell. These women know how to PLAY with their fashion. They aren’t afraid to be bold, flamboyant, and dramatic. There is a light-hearted charm and expression.
Which is something to remember for the upcoming Gemini season (May 20th) and New Moon (May 30th)…how might you add more play to your work, life and wardrobe?
