Architecting Brand Identity
Nicole Hernandez - The Traveling Hypnotist
Objective: Develop a visual brand identity for a hypnotist who has a background in boutique hospitality and a passion for traveling. The brand for the Traveling Hypnotist needed to present as hip-notic and fresh in order to dispel the aged and woo visuals folks usually conjure in their minds about the practice. This objective was achieved through the use of a brighter, earthy color palette inspired by the clients’s roots in Texas, grainy textures channeling the liminal space in brand imagery and digital assets, and contemporary but ageless fonts.
Makings of a Book Series
Debra Schaffer - Notes from an Enchanted Garden
Objective: Art Direct, Design, Lay-out and Illustrate the first of a series of interactive field-books on herbal magic. Notes from an Enchanted Garden features the author’s personal stories and magical guidance for 28 plants gathered from her gardens. Hand-drawn illustrations, inspired by antique prints, are provided at the end of each chapter in a coloring-book format so that readers can record their individual experiences with each natural specimen when in the field.
Animated social media graphics and a sell sheet were also designed to support marketing.
Brand Identity + Sales Page Design and Development
Monica Herald - Sanctuary Saloon
Objective: Direct, Design and Build a visual identity and digital home for the sibling brands Stone Soup Stories and Sanctuary Saloon. Stone Soup Stories is an online community center that makes rest and play priorities. The brand, and it’s online home, needed to taste like a recipe of cozy library (for those who want to rest) and village coffee house (for those who want to play), so archetypal animals like Owl and Fox are used as brand mascots while berried vines, book-lights and antique paintings serve as backdrops for a jovial but peaceful scene.

Cara McDonald - Cara Writes Copy
Objective: Design and Build a clean and minimal online client portfolio that highlights the words on the page! Copywriting projects from social media marketing posts to corporate bios were presented and organized in a repeat format with a muted color palette so that the visual presentation played a supporting role to the text.

Theresa Reed - The Tarot Lady
Objective: Continually support the Brand Identity Development, Digital Presence and Evolving Product Photography of Tarot Reader, Astrologer, Writer, Teacher, and Magic BO$$ Theresa Reed. For nearly ten years, I have worked with Reed creating various forms of digital assets for her business website, offerings and social media presence, helping her stay on the pulse of what’s hot and what’s not in the visual world of the modern mystic – while staying true to her brand origins.
Building from the Ground Up
Grandview Flightseeing
Objective: Imagine, Direct and Build a Brand Identity, Logo, Merch, Print and Website presence for Rocky Mountain based flight-tour company Grandview Flightseeing. A 1953 Cessna 180, skywagon for the flightseeing tours, inspired the vintage aircraft logo and feel of the brand. Modern graphic icons and bright colors were chosen to bring the visuals up to speed.
